Introduction

WEDA (WISE-Edge Developer Architecture) is Advantech's edge–cloud orchestration framework designed to accelerate the deployment of AI + IoT solutions across vertical industries. By enabling containerized development, cross-chip platform support, AI performance optimization, and standardized APIs, WEDA significantly reduces time-to-market from development to deployment. It scales flexibly with customer needs and application scenarios, delivering a unified, secure, and scalable AIoT ecosystem that supports everything from a single edge node to large-scale distributed industrial networks. WEDA consists of two core components: • WEDA Cloud - Cloud-Edge Orchestration of Distributed Edge AI • WEDA Edge - Containerized Edge Intelligence from OT to Cloud

    WEDA provides a standardized "Ready-to-develop" environment featuring advanced Container Passthrough technology. This allows developers to directly harness NPU and GPU power within containers without complex driver configurations. Combined with the WEDA Device Library, intricate OT hardware commands are transformed into intuitive Python and C# SDKs, simplifying hardware control and data integration. This ensures consistency from development to production, enabling AI concepts to be rapidly converted into industrial-grade applications.
